The Stonewall Brigade Band’s summer concert season features a free concert every Monday evening at 7:30 pm during the months of June, July and August. Concerts last about an hour and are held at the Stonewall Brigade Bandstand in the beautiful Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton, VA (click here for directions).
We had a great 2024 season and look forward to seeing you in 2025!
The 2025 Summer Concert Series will begin Monday, June 2nd.
- June 2nd: Disney Songs – Dress up as your favorite character!
- June 9th: World War II and Songs from Ireland – Wear something green!
- June 16th: The 1950s – Wear your poodle skirts and saddle shoes!
- June 23rd: The 1970s – Bring out your polyester leisure suits!
- June 30th: The 80s and 90s – Legwarmers and scrunchies and Reeboks!
- July 7th: Music by John Williams
- July 14th: Latin Flare
- July 21st: Christmas in July – Wear something festive (but appropriate for summer heat)!
- July 28th: Animal Night – Dress up as your favorite animal!
- August 4th: Hope and Praise
- August 11th: The Music of TV
- August 18th: Ensemble Night
- August 25th: A Spooky, Spectacular Evening – Wear your Halloween costume!
Lawn chairs or blankets are highly suggested as permanent seating is very limited. For the best sound, try to sit on or near the permanent seats. On any evening, come early for a parking spot inside the park (parking is permitted on only one side of the park drive for concerts). Overflow parking is available on Thornrose avenue on both sides of the street with easy access through the side gate. Only band performing members and concessions crew may park behind the bandstand, and parking is not permitted on mulch around trees.
Concerts are held regardless of weather, except in the case of severe electrical storms or park flooding; weather cancellations will be posted in the commercial closings section of the WHSV website. If it’s raining, bring your umbrella with your lawn chair, or sit in your car and enjoy the concert from there. There’s a tradition of honking car horns in applause on rainy nights.
